Look of village a century ago

PEOPLE in Littlebeck and the surrounding area may be interested to see how the village looked at the turn of last century in these photos emailed to us by Whitby Museum.
Although the photos are not dates, they are believed to be from around 1900 as they are of a similar age to others in the album.
It is immediately noticeable that there were a lot fewer trees a hundred years ago.
The picture above shows the Methodist Chapel, which is still in use as such by the local community.
