SLEIGHTS Primary school staged a musical about the Moors and Coast last week.
The summer performance was based on the pupils’ geography lessons and also linked up with work done in other subjects including music, dance and drama.

Activities undertaken by children included poetry writing, singing and playing musical instruments including guitars, piano, wind and percussion.

Pupils wrote and digitally recorded their own songs.

They also enjoyed dance workshops and choreographed their own dance routines including morris and sword dancing.

In drama, they performed poems and sketches in costumes against a colourful backdrop created in their art lessons.
