THE September meeting was presided over by Muriel Spenceley in the absence of Jean Fairey who was on holiday.
Gwen Freeman gave the secretary's report and Jean Prior the treasurer's report.
Noteworthy items were read from the YCA newsletter: 26 October, fish and chip supper and bingo evening; 11 November, Christmas shopping trip to Peter Barretts at Yarm; 24 November, dominoes drive at the Salmon Leap, Sleights.
Joy Huish of Friends of Pannett Park gave a talk on the ongoing work at Pannett Park and this was appreciated by members.
The next meeting is on Monday 5 October.
